My big question: If human beings are a sum of values, skills, and much more, what types of learning/knowledge are the ones that can most significantly influence our most marginalized students?

I can't believe this is my 5th year here, which is something that I am proud and happy about. Since I moved to the United States, New School has become my second home. I was born in Colombia in a city called Bucaramanga “The beautiful city”. At the age of 15, I began to live my big dream of being a professional soccer player (like my brother Sebastian), a career that I pursued for 10 years, playing for 5 teams in different cities including playing for a team here in San Francisco, which is why I now live here. I have a beautiful 6-year-old daughter named Dulce.

I also obtained a degree in Electronic Technology at the UTS (Unidades Tecnologicas de Santander). I have always had a great vocation for helping others and I love being able to see the progress in our students. I love to be part of their growth and being able to guide them through my actions. While I am not new to the school, I am starting a new role in which I will become even more involved in our community. In my free time you can find me playing soccer (a lot of soccer), eating ice cream, or researching new projects.
